Currently Series ~ 1

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a great Presidents Day yesterday, whether you had the day off or had to work. I didn’t do anything too exciting. I went to my favorite cafe and did some studying. I mean, look how cute this place is…
Anyway, here is what I’m currently doing:
watching – F.R.I.E.N.D.S. This is my first time ever watching this show. Uhm yes. You heard me correctly. I just was never really a TV watcher, but my boyfriend is making me watch it, since it’s his all-time favorite show. and I’m obsessed! I’m on season 8 I think. I really don’t want it to end! OH, here’s a fun fact- I have never, not once, finished a TV show. So, we shall see if I actually finish this one. (p.s. – please don’t ruin the ending.)
reading – nothing, at the moment, unless my textbooks for school count? I was reading The Fault in Our Stars, but now I can’t seem to find the time to finish it. Between running this blog, my classes, working part-time, and exercising.. I’m pretty exhausted by the end of the day.
eating – nada. chicken burritos for dinner, though!
saving – for another Sephora haul. Probably some eye shadow palettes and Murad stuff!
craving – Spring!! I can’t take this freezing cold winter anymore! I just want to be out in my kayak and fishing and wearing shorts and going on bike rides. I have a kazillion hobbies in the Spring/Summer, and in the winter that number drops down to like a two, no joke.
wearing – i’m totally bumming it today. yoga pants, sweatshirt, ponytail. yep.
exercising – elliptical 5 minutes, stair climber 10 minutes, treadmill 10 minutes, bike 10 minutes.
feeling – sick and tired of winter. hopeful for my blog. excited to have won a giveaway. thankful for my mommy’s health.
anticipating – springggggg. please.
trying – to find a super good moisturizer for my face. and also a better foundation. maybe something hypoallergenic? also trying to save money for a house.
loving – all of my readers and followers. I probably would’ve given up by now if it weren’t for you guys! I know I don’t have as many as some people, but you guys mean a lot and motivate me more than you know!
What’s currently going on with you guys? Are you freezing your face off, too?

Sephora Haul Series ~ pt. 2

So in my previous post (this one), I told you all about my addiction to those reward points you get when you shop at Sephora. I listed a bunch of products I had just ordered and the other day I received them! Soooo I’m going to share that with you guys!
Here is everything that was in the box! I purchased a few things with money, a few things with reward points and also got a ton of free samples.
I will only be talking about these products (below), since I haven’t tried the samples yet.
I am not too sure how I feel about this primer. It smelled nice and I think that’s all the good I can say about it. I just didn’t like how oily it made my face feel – and look. I felt like it never dried and I barely used any. My face just felt really greasy and like I was wearing a thousand layers after using this with my foundation. I’m not a fan.
I reallllllly love this night cream! My skin feels so incredibly soft when I wake up, that I just can’t stop touching it. It soaks into your skin really nicely without leaving it feeling greasy. It also smells sooo nice. I haven’t noticed it do anything for “firming, lifting, and antiwrinkle”, but it definitely moisturizes!
Dr. Brandt Needles No More
Well, this tube is tiny, so I don’t think it’ll last long enough to see any results. But honestly I didn’t notice it do anything. I won’t be purchasing a full-size to find out, either. It’s just too expensive, in my opinion. I’d rather use a different product.
Philosophy No Reason To Hide
This didn’t impress me as much as I was hoping it would. I have basically all the problems this product says it will fix (blotchiness, redness, rough texture, acne marks, enlarged pores, and dark spots) and I was hoping it would help in all of those areas. The only change I noticed is shrunken pores. Maybe this sample size just isn’t enough to see any big changes. So I’m not quite sure if I’ll be repurchasing.
Murad Clarifying Cleanser
This cleanser is just simply amazing!! I have tried an endless list of cleansers and I’ve gone through the biggest battle trying to find one that works for me. And so far, this one is definitely the winner!! I use it in the morning and at night. I also have used it with my Clarisonic (which I just got, I’ll be doing a post soon, so stay tuned!). It just feels soo good on my skin. It kinda gives a tingly sensations and maybe smells a little minty. I have noticed that I got a few little dry spots, though. I’m not sure if it’s from the cleanser, or the nasty, cold and windy weather. I do have to invest in a better moisturizer. I’m thinking about getting First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Anyway, I’m addicted to this cleanser. I would use it 10x a day if I could. I highly suggest you check it out!
Urban Decay Ammo Palette
I purchased this because I had to spend $15 to get free shipping. This was only $16. Annnnd I don’t know. The packaging definitely drew me in, but I don’t know if I like the eye shadows all that much. They just don’t apply evenly and there’s a ton of fallout. The brush it comes with is useless. And the colors look more vibrant in the palette than they do swatched. I don’t want to be too negative- there are some pretty colors, just use a different brush and don’t be afraid of getting eye shadow all over your face.

Here is an unfiltered, close-up of the colors

Here they are swatched. YES they are in the exact same order as above. There is no filter on this picture. Some of these colors are just that terrible.

But for $16, I guess there are some colors I can work with and it did include a sample of Urban Decay Primer Potion, and those are my positives 😛

Do you use any of these products? Can you recommend a really great moisturizer? Let me know in the comments below!
